I AM / JESTEM

Oct 20, 2008

Bbeyond in conjunction with The Residency Programme at Stranmillis University College presents I AM, a Polish performance and visual art event, from the 20th Oct to the 27th Oct.

The title for the performance event takes into account the historical and the present situation. Historically, from the first ever documented performance art event in Warsaw, in 1978, and Polish performance art now. The intergenerational aspect to the project, will highlight some of the changing natures and approaches of performance art. It will also highlight the renewed interest in this art form by taking into account the contexts from which it emerged, taken from the direct opinions of these seminal, emerging, and younger artists.
