There were two groups one for first timers to performance and the workshop was based on ‘On Site’ where for three days the participants create and examined response to particular environments or social context. There were presentations at the Crescent Art Centre, on Wed 15th Aug where the audience were given instructions made by the participants who in turn performed their instructions at particular sites and reported back to give feedback to the participants.
On Site, Participants: Maeve O’Donnell, Pavana Reid, Tara Mullen, Helena Hamilton, Myrium Todd, Anne Marie Dillon, Aideen Doran, Coleen McShane.
The second group was for people who had experience making performance entitled ‘On Practice’ was generated as an opportunity to have an in-depth discussion of our practices, what drives us to make the work that we make, our approaches to developing work and our methods of evaluation. There was a final presentation on Sat 18th Aug, at the Crescent Art Centre and the audience was invited into a group discussion on the processes and practices of performance art.
